The programs for testing a person for alcohol and drugs are administered by the Oklahoma Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence. It is responsible for training and issuing permits to persons to allow them to take tests on the Intoxilyzer 5000D breath testing machine. They also license laboratories and chemists to test blood and other substances for alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances. The attorneys in our office have been certified by the Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence and possess permits as operators to take tests on the machine, and also have been issued permits certifying them as maintenance supervisors, qualified to do maintenance on the Intoxilyzer 5000D breath testing machine.
