The program length minimums are:
- First offense: 180 days
- Second offense: 365 days
- Third offense: 1,095 days
A driver’s required program length also varies based on their compliance with the IID rules. The number of violations and the amount of time you’ve been in the program when they occur has a significant bearing on the consequential length of the extension.
The final phase of the IDAP is completing the program and receiving an official completion letter from the Department of Public Safety. This letter will also verify that your record has been updated to show your completion of the program.
